Where are my miles?
That's a good question. Many frequent fliers say airlines are becoming unreliable about
posting miles to their accounts — especially if the miles comes from partners as hotels
or rental car companies. A survey by Innovation Analysis Group, a California travel
consultant, backs up that suspicion. The survey, quoted by The New York Times (free registration),
finds 36% of travelers complaining the crediting process has decelerated to the point where some
wait six months or more for miles to post. United is tagged as the slowest, followed by Delta, US
Airways and Northwest. Among partners, car rental companies are viewed as the tardiest group.
